A Bloggy Tale: How Multi-Tasking Moms Was Born

Once upon a time, there was a mom who loved reading blogs created by other mommies. Those blogs provided her with new ideas on how to manage her daily schedule, how to clean more efficiently and how to organize her home. While joyfully collecting these tips, this mom wondered whether there was a better way.

"Wouldn't it be nice to have a one-stop blog with a bunch of different ideas from different moms," she wondered. "That way people could pick and choose what suggestions and tips fit their lifestyle."

And thus, Multi-Tasking Moms was born.

So who are we? We're mommy bloggers from all walks of life. Some of us are homeschooling moms; some of us are work-at-home moms and some are moms in the workforce. We have children ranging in age from barely one, to those who will only too soon leave the nest. But most importantly, we're mommy bloggers, just like you. We will search for the best tips and the best products, and present them to you. We'll also have a few laughs along the way.

So sit back, relax and enjoy as we do the work for you.

Your Multi-Tasking Moms

Alycia

I am a proud wife to my military husband and a thankful mother of three children. I am currently living overseas in Okinawa, Japan. My children are Kyle, 7; Mason, 6; and Hannah Grace 2. We are on the path less traveled, together as a family, educating at home. We have been blessed beyond measure and delight in following God's will for our family as we put feet to our faith and follow His leading. My blog is a place where I share our day to day lives with family and friends around the world. It is my little corner of the world, to write about my faith, my family, our homeschool journey and so much more!

Chickadee (a.k.a. Melissa)

I am a saved by grace Christian mother of two daughters and one little boy who keeps me on my toes. My husband of 17 years and I live in Arkansas where we homeschool our 3 children. Before children came on the scene I was teaching English and Freshman Composition. In my limited free time I enjoy writing, photography, reading, watching television and hiking.

Christina

I am a stay-at-home wife who is madly in love and a very blessed home-schooling mother of two beautiful girls, ages 12 and 9. Through all of my faults and imperfections, I am extremely thankful for the grace of Christ Jesus and the second chance that He graciously gives all of us.

Dawnelle

I am a former first-grade teacher and I homeschool my three children, ages 8, 6, and 4. During my free time I enjoy getting lost in a good book, lesson planning, and chocolate. I blog at True Colors and Travel With Us.

JoyFULLWifeMom (a.k.a. Chrissy)

I love God! I love my husband of almost 9 years. I love my 3 kiddos! I am the richest person on Earth. Because I have these great loves!

Just Mom (a.k.a. Aisha)

I'm a book-loving, coffee-drinking stay-at-home mom of a 4-year-old boy. My venture in to SAHM-hood began last year after 16 years as a writer, editor and photographer. Although I loved being a career woman, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to be an at-home mom. You can visit me at Just Mom's Musings, Just Mom Cooking or Just Mom's Library.

Lori

I am a stay-at-home mom who has been married to my
husband Al for 11 wonderful years. I have two precious
children who fill our lives with love, joy and laughter
every day. I have one boy, 9, and one girl, 5. I work part-time outside of the home, as well as have my own business selling Tupperware.

Misty

I am the mama of three adventurous, academically gifted boys in Arizona. Organized chaos best describes my home and lifestyle. What mom wouldn't have a little chaos in their lives while homeschooling an 8-, 5-, and 3-year old, working part-time from home by day, attending college at night, not to mention all the volunteer things I do. If I’m not up to something, you know some thing's wrong -- or so my friends tell me. : -) You can also visit me at Adventuring with 3 Boys or Kitchen Moments.

Momma Roar (a.k.a. Leigh Ann)

I'm a mom to 3 great children and wife of 11 years to my best friend. I'll begin homeschooling my oldest this month for kindergarten. Along for the ride are my 2 1/2 year old daughter and my baby son born last December. It may be crazy, but we're living, learning and laughing along the way. You can visit with us at Living to Learn & Learning to Live and pull up a chair at Momma Roar's Kitchen.

MorningSong (a.k.a. Melodye)

I am a Christian stay-at-home mom of two. My husband and I are celebrating 10 great years of marriage. My daughter is 4 and I am beginning my journey of homeschooling with her this year. My son is 2 1/2 years old and is a bundle of energy. Sewing is a new hobby that has become a love for me (it helps that my daughter is thrilled to wear what I make her). Reading is something I love but have found little time for since becoming a mom. I've been blogging since April 2007 and my blog has become so refreshing to me. I love hearing and learning from other moms. I am a mom just like you -- finding my way in the midst of occasional chaos.

Not Before 7 (a.k.a. Mary)

I am a Christian woman striving to throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, so that I can run with perseverance the race marked out for me. (adapted from Heb 12:1) Right now, that race includes raising three little ones alongside my fantastic husband.

Short Stop (a.k.a. Sarah)

Wife to the man of my dreams. Mom to two amazing boys. God's child. Aspiring Chef. Constant talker. I'm a work in progress, but God's grace is never far away! I love being with people. I love being alone. I'm happy!

Tarrah

I am a wife of 5 years and a SAHM of 2 children. My daughter is 3 and my son is almost 1. Along with being a wife, a mother, and keeping a household I am also an independent consultant with The Body Shop at Home. We live out in the country. The nearest grocery store is 30 minutes away, and our church, friends and my husband's job is 1 hour away. I am very blessed and very thankful for all the Lord has given me to take care of, and look forward to where God will lead us.

Weavermom

I'm a mostly SAHM. I've been married to dh for 11 years. We have a very-spirited, social, loveable 6 yr dd, Punkin; and a too-cute-for-his-own-good, car-loving 3 yr ds, SnugBug. We homeschool using Volume 1 of the Weaver curriculum. I also have a home-based bookkeeping business.
